Amelia harbors a deep-seated resentment towards her ringmaster uncle, and for good reason - the Circus Electrique's forced closing years prior was due to the on-stage death of Amelia's mother, which Amelia attributes to her uncle's negligence. Players assume the role of Amelia, a journalist covering the re-opening of her uncle's circus, the Circus Electrique.
